Our solutions provide our customers with a comprehensive enterprise-wide data broadcast infrastructure. This infrastructure delivers corporate broadcasts, business television, interactive distance learning and training programs, distributed digital signage initiatives that support advertising, brand enhancement, and customer satisfaction programs. In addition, our platform supports a host of applications such as content distribution, centralized management, security monitoring, video multicasting, and video conferencing.

The concept of data broadcasting over IP reaches back to our roots as a company. In 1995 our founding Engineers envisioned the delivery of IP data and video-over-satellite to be as common as an Ethernet connection. Because we extend the capabilities of satellite systems and combine them with traditional broadband networks, we are experts in the new uses of video and rich-media content.

Our products have provided us with the opportunity to work with many leading companies throughout the world. We currently supply our award winning MediaGate Router application platform to thousands of remote locations. Some of our customers include General Motors, Merrill Lynch, Pfizer, FlagStar Bank, as well as many others. We also work very closely with strategic partners to help in the distribution of our technologies. Companies such as Telesat, Harris, iDirect, Spacenet, Microspace Communications, Convergent Media Systems, GlobeCast, Broadcast International and others provide service and installations for our customers. Our partners extend our reach into targeted markets, allowing us to supply our respective customers with a complete solution to solve their communications needs.

The Helius portfolio of solutions includes IP-based transmission, reception, conversion, streaming and distribution technologies. These solutions deliver video, voice, application and file data across WANs, LANs and to distributed desktops. Founded in 1995, Helius is the worldwide leader in business-class data broadcasting solutions and has been focused on the data broadcasting and IP- over-satellite markets for over a decade. Our extensive experience in terrestrial, wireless and satellite networks allows us to provide solutions for dispersed sites. On February 4, 2008, Hughes Communications, Inc. (Hughes) completed the acquisition of Helius for up to $30.5 million as the result of the merger agreement entered into on December 21, 2007. In February 2008, subsequent to the acquisition, Hughes transferred its ownership of Helius to Hughes Network Systems, LLC. Helius, LLC will operate within the North America VSAT segment, due to the nature of its business activities, its customer base and similarities with the North America enterprise business. Helius' operations will continue to be located in Lindon, Utah.

Hughes will utilize Helius' innovative IP video technologies to enhance the existing HughesNet(R) digital media serviceofferings. Through this acquisition, Hughes and Helius are well positioned to provide industry leading technology and services for business television, corporate communications, digital signage, and distance learning.
